Can I pick up my friend’s packet?

Absolutely, but if you do you immediately become responsible for their bib, shirt and packet. We don’t issue a second bib, timing tag, shirt or anything else. We highly recommend you notify any individual immediately after picking up so that they know you have done this for them.

I registered but now have to go out of town. Can you refund or defer my registration?

For various reasons, Run for the Water is unable to offer any form of refund or transfer.

Headphones, Strollers, Dogs…are they allowed?

The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, The Gazelle Foundation Run for the Water encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of Run for the Water. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to develop camaraderie with your fellow runners and to enjoy everything the race has to offer. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.

Strollers and Dogs are not allowed on the course for safety reasons for all participants. We believe your race experience and those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones, dogs, and strollers at home.

Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our event. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.

Can I walk?

Yes. The course has a hard closure of 10:00 AM. This is an 18 minute per mile pace beginning at 7:00 AM for the 10 mile. Any participants who cannot maintain a 18:00 min per mile pace will be asked by the race official or local law enforcement to step onto the sidewalk to complete the course. To be recognized as an official finisher in the results you must cross the finish line timing mats by 10:00 AM.
